Orchestra FLEX | Starting Alone/Coming Together

Don’t miss the inaugural concert for this dynamic ensemble! Longy students perform chamber orchestra works by Chevalier de St. George, Dimitri Shostakovich, Jessie Montgomery, and Frederic Rzewski. Composition students will orchestrate lieder for singers and chamber orchestra by Fanny Mendelssohn, Osnat Netzer, Joseph Szulc, Robert Schumann, and Ernest Chausson, and the concert will feature a world premiere by Longy student, Patrick Wu. There will also be smaller works by Georges Enescu, David Lang, and Alberto Ginastera, and finally, an improvisation featuring all members of Orchestra FLEX
