Boston Celtic Music Festival in Harvard Square

Boston’s Celtic Music Fest (BCMFest) will celebrate its ninth anniversary January 6 and 7, 2012, at venues in Harvard Square. The festival is a popular showcase for Boston’s best performers of music, song and dance from Irish, Scottish, Cape Breton and other Celtic and Celtic-inspired traditions.

Orinoco to Replace Harvard Square’s Small Plates

Orinoco, a Venezuelan restaurant with locations in Brookline and the South End, will be replacing Small Plates in Harvard Square. The Harvard Crimson reports that Orinoco will open “early next year,” keeping the Latin influence for a spot that was once the Spanish Iruña.
