Dream Vacation Series!
Whichever way you get to Tuscany – fly into Rome and take a train, fly into Pisa or Florence and drive or any combination thereof – driving through Tuscany is breathtaking. Even the Italians will sometimes ask – Are the roads paved? Do you have cellular connections? (Yes, many, and yes, mostly). But it is like stepping back centuries into some medieval fairyland. The rich, golden sandstone, practically tailor made for the dusty olive trees, cypresses and gorgeous vineyards, astonishes you every time you see another iteration of castle like towns and houses on hillsides, nestled in a profusion of oleander and bougainvillea.
And the magic continues through to the food and especially the wine! Tuscany has been known for its wine for hundreds of years. Many of the Castelli have been continuously producing wines since the 14th and 15th centuries.
In this class, we will explore the wonders of Tuscan wine – from the coastal areas of Bolgheri to famed hills of Chianti Classico, from the storied vineyards of Montalcino to the northern history-drenched slopes of Florence.
You can choose to take this class at Commonwealth Wine School or Online through Zoom. Tastings are provided as part of the in-person class, or available for pick up at our school if you select the Online with Tasting Kit registration option. If you would like your kit shipped to you, please pay for shipping here. For those who choose to register for the online class only, wine lists will be provided ahead of time so that you may taste along at home.
