The Harvard Square Hotel Unveils New Renovations

Press Release Harvard Square Hotel
The Harvard Square Hotel, located in the center of Harvard Square in Cambridge, Massachusetts, recently underwent complete renovation of its guest rooms and lobby. The newly renovated hotel re-opened February 14, 2019. The team included Arrowstreet Inc. Architects, Consigli Construction, Harvard Real Estate, G.R. Stanley LLC and Collegiate Hospitality Capital LLC.

The hotel lobby, which overlooks Harvard Square, is fit out with warm wood tones, bronze metal accents and welcoming lighting. The coffee bar offers a variety of options and provides complimentary spring water for guests. If you want to enjoy a coffee on a cozy sofa or work on your laptop at a beautiful quartz table, the new lobby furniture accommodates you. Behind the front desk is a white oak wall with a carved street scape of the City of Cambridge.

Once upstairs, the same abstracted map of Cambridge is depicted on the corridor carpets and guides you down to your guestroom. The map appears again on a custom accent wall in the guestrooms. The renovation of all 73 guestrooms includes new hardwood floors, furniture with night lights built into the bed bases, ergonomic desk chairs, and large, wall mounted TVs. Electrical upgrades allow for integrated convenience outlets in headboards and new lighting throughout every space.

The Harvard Square Hotel has served the Cambridge and Harvard University community since 1950. We are located next to the Harvard T Stop and Brattle street. The Harvard Kennedy School, the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and Harvard College are all a short walk from the hotel. Harvard Business School, the Harvard Athletic Football stadium and indoor track and pool are located across the Charles River.

The Harvard Square Hotel has been independently managed by Collegiate Hospitality Capital LLC since 1995.
