HARVARD’S SQUARE’S ONE REASON GARDEN BAR TO LAUNCH SPECIAL SPRING/SUMMER MENU IN PARTNERSHIP WITH TAQUERIA EL BARRIO
Menu to celebrate the vibrant flavors of Sonora, Mexico available starting on Garden’s Bar’s opening day: May 5, 2024; guests will enjoy favorites such as the ‘Mi Tierra’ and ‘Torta Del Dia’, alongside a signature cocktail crafted to complement the cuisine.
April 11, 2024 – Cambridge – Harvard Square’s One Reason Garden Bar, a “come as you are” bar in
the heart of Cambridge’s bustling center that features gourmet eats, specialty cocktails, live music and
lawn games, announced today that it is partnering with Taqueria El Barrio to launch a special
spring/summer menu starting on its opening day: May 5, 2024. Taqueria El Barrio is a beloved family run,
traditional-style Taqueria by restaurateurs Servio Garcia and Alex Saenz. Their menu draws inspiration
from Garcia’s home of Sonora, in Northern Mexico, an area known for its handmade flour tortillas which
are now a staple at Taqueria El Barrio.
“Our retail tortillas have gained a cult-like following, and we often hear of people driving 30+ minutes to go
buy 6 packs of our tortillas to stock their freezers,” and El Barrio is bringing these vibrant flavors right to
Harvard Square this May!
The special Garden Bar menu will feature favorites from Taqueria El Barrio’s full menu, including Pollo,
Birria, Carnitas, and Veggie tacos, all served with their signature homemade ‘Mi Tierra’ corn tortillas; the
infamous ‘Torta Del Dia’, a loaded Mexican sandwich on toasted Telera Bread; assortments of chips & dips;
and sliced watermelon with tajin and lime. Garden Bar’s mixologists will be crafting a special Whiskey
Smash to complement the menu, alongside a selection of wines and beers from New England’s beloved
local breweries such as Trillium and Bissel Brothers.
One Reason Garden Bar is open Wednesdays and Thursdays from 4 PM – 9 PM and Fridays and Sundays
from Noon to 9 PM.

About Taqueria El Barrio
In the Boston restaurant scene for a combined 40+ years, Servio Garcia and Alex Saenz have worked in
collaboration at some of Boston’s best restaurants including BISq and Bergamot. The two joined forces to
