Some Like it HOT Chili Cook-Off / Winner Announced!

Last Saturday, while the Saints were gearing up to dominate the Super Bowl, eight Harvard Square restaurants were gearing up to dominate the chili scene.

Ignoring freezing temperatures, and embracing their inner foodie, hundreds turned out to sample fresh hot rolls from Bertucci’s and the Square’s best chili featuring mouth-watering samplings from Crema Café, Grendel’s Den, Fire + Ice, Redline, Savenor’s, Tommy Doyle’s, Tory Row, and Uno Chicago Grill. We are pleased to announce our 2010 winner!

Congratulations!

Tory Row

We wish to thank our restaurants, their servers and staff, our volunteers, Ann Nicolas from the Community Charter School of Cambridge, Jamina Coleman, and our fabulous drummers from Bloco Afro Brazil.

Here is just a hint at the competition:

Savenor’s will be doing a Hearty Game Chili with Guinness and a hint of blueberries (Game meats to include antelope and venison).

Crema Café has entered their Crema Chicken Chili- a lean and spicy chili garnished with cheddar-jack cheese and scallions.
