Harvardsquare.com Mobile Site Launched

The mission of the HSBA, founded in 1910, is to promote commerce in Harvard Square. “Throughout history, the association has always embraced new advances, be it electric light posts, telephones or more recently, the launching of square-wide public outside Wifi access. So it is fitting, that in our Centennial year, users can now access www.harvardsquare.com from their mobile devices, to get the latest information on places to see, to eat, and to shop, as well as the most up-to-date Harvard Square news and events,” said Denise Jillson, Executive Director.

The Harvard Square Business Association contracted The Atom Group, a full-service web development agency, to create a clean, simple and intuitive mobile site that encapsulated the ever popular www.harvardsquare.com in a format designed for the latest mobile versions of the iPhone, Android and Blackberry. “Students, residents and visitors from near and far, will be empowered and informed with local content in their hands”, commented Jillson. Atom used the .NET content management system, Kentico, to give the Harvard Square Business Association the ability to manage their website easily and affordably.

“Every year is a milestone for us, but this year, our 100th anniversary year, is particularly special. We needed to work with a partner who would help us achieve our goals of accommodation and information. The Atom Group understood. They are passionate about quality and design, and they are competitively priced. We enjoyed working with them to bring the latest mobile technology to our eight million annual visitors. The Atom Group is innovative and professional; the quality of our website is proof of their exceptional work,” said Jillson.
