This event requires a reservation; see further details below.

Ease into the weekend by attending a reading of ancient Greek and Latin literature by Harvard undergraduate students from the Department of the Classics. The readings will take place in the exhibition galleries of A World Within Reach: Greek and Roman Art from the Loeb Collection.

This event is part of a series of readings—held every Friday in April—that celebrates both the World Within Reach exhibition and National Poetry Month.

A World Within Reach presents ancient Greek and Roman objects from the collection of James Loeb. Convinced that ancient literature could enrich contemporary lives, Loeb established a bilingual publication series called Loeb Classical Library, which makes ancient Greek and Roman texts accessible by placing them side by side with their English translations.

Led by:
Ari Cheriyan ’25, Department of the Classics, Harvard University
Vivi Lu ’24, Department of the Classics, Harvard University
