On Sunday, July 6 at 3:00, gather for an outdoor poetry reading by three-term U.S. Poet Laureate Robert Pinsky at Longfellow House-Washington’s Headquarters. Pinsky is the author or editor of thirty books of poetry, essays, and memoir, including Proverbs of Limbo (2024) and Jersey Breaks (2022). He also founded the Favorite Poem Project, a national initiative celebrating poetry’s place in everyday American life through videos of people from all walks of life reading poems they love.
