Johannes Okeghem: Missa Cuiusvis toni

One of Okeghem’s most dazzling compositional feats is this Mass “in whatsoever mode,” which can be sung three ways, each with its own distinct scale and harmonic palette. Blue Heron will sing the complete Mass in all three modes, in a special two-part concert interpolating an explanatory presentation by Peter Urquhart and Scott Metcalfe.
