The Fringe is an iconic Boston jazz ensemble that has, for 50 years, pushed and prodded jazz repertoire and style to endlessly creative space with almost telepathic group improvisation and interaction. This ensemble is introduced to Lockwood’s approach to “opening up” pieces and expanding improvisational pathways in the spirit of the Fringe.
