DINTY CHILD Party of One

Dinty has always been a ‘band guy’. A multi instrumental long time member of the Boston roots scene mafia, he can most often be seen with local legends Session Americana, but also as a member of the Sun Ra meets Ringling Brothers caravan of the Chandler Travis Philharmonic, as part of the unapologetically loud and grimy Catbirds, as a sensitive sideman to folks like Rose Cousins and Kris Delmhorst, and even as frontman and ringmaster of the twenty piece Funky White Honkies. The three Passim shows in January for his new record involved a pig pile of musician friends. Dinty is very much known as a songwriter though, and what he rarely does is stand on stage by himself and play his songs naked, but that’s what he’ll do tonight. The songs will be naked, not him…thankfully.
