Jennifer Tseng reads from Thanks for Letting Us Know You Are Alive, with Danny Lawless, reading from I Tell You This Now.

Founded in 1973, the award-winning Blacksmith House Poetry Series brings established and emerging writers of poetry and fiction to Harvard Square. In person readings will take place at 56 Brattle on Mondays at 8pm. Admission is $5, tickets are available at the door.

Jennifer Tseng

Jennifer Tseng’s latest book, Thanks for Letting Us Know You Are Alive, is a collection of poems made with her late father’s English letters; the book has received the Juniper Prize for Poetry from the University of Massachusetts Press. She teaches literature and creative writing at University of California, Santa Cruz.

Danny Lawless

Daniel Lawless is the author of The Gun My Sister Killed Herself With and I Tell You This Now. His poems have appeared in FIELD, Prairie Schooner, Ploughshares, JAMA and elsewhere. He is the founder and editor of Plume: A Journal of Contemporary Poetry, Plume Editions, and the annual Plume Poetry anthologies.
