DART (Dancing America Rapper Tournament) is the premier rapper sword dance competition in North America. Rapper sword dancing is an exciting, fast-paced, and highly unique form of traditional English dance involving metal blades, percussive stepping, and intricate figures.

Join us for a rollicking evening of ceilidh dancing, music, special performances and more as we launch the 2023 Dancing America Rapper Tournament. Ceilidhs are the go to party in England, with dances that are energetic and fun for all ages. The dances will be led by England’s very own Tom Besford along with music from super talented VT based English folks Laurel Swift on Fiddle and Alex Cumming on accordion plus MA’s very own Donal Sheets on guitar.

Learn how to do rapper sword dancing! Everyone is welcome to come to this unique event of masterclasses and workshops. Tom and Steph Besford, our master teachers from England, will lead Master Classes for us all to watch. It’s a great way to understand what it’s all about. Then everyone will participate in classes for different abilities and get to try rapper or work on the advanced aspects. A light brunch will be provided.
