CCAE’s Kitchen To Have A New Name!

Over the past six years as Director of Development at Cambridge Center for Adult Education, and a board member before that, Mary-Catherine Deibel (pictured above in her signature magenta scarf) became part of the heart and soul of CCAE. She brought the same passion to CCAE’s mission of life-long learning that she had for decades to her role as a Cambridge restaurateur.

Today we are pleased to announce that in tribute to Mary-Catherine Deibel – a true Cambridge icon – CCAE’s kitchen will be named the Mary-Catherine Deibel Teaching Kitchen. As part of this naming effort, the Cambridge Center for Adult Education with the Deibel family and friends have created the Mary-Catherine Deibel Memorial Fund to advance the mission of CCAE – an organization she championed until the very end!

Here’s to Mary-Catherine – a colleague, a friend, a force in the Cambridge community and beyond. May her legacy be a symbol of learning together, elbow to elbow, over the stove or around the cutting board in the soon to be dubbed Mary-Catherine Deibel Teaching Kitchen!

Stay tuned for more information about the kitchen-naming process in the months to come. In the meantime, donations to the Mary-Catherine Deibel Memorial Fund may be made electronically at www.ccae.org/mcdfund or via check, made payable to Cambridge Center for Adult Education, and sent to: Cambridge Center for Adult Education, 42 Brattle Street, Cambridge, MA 02138.
