| E. Denise Simmons, a longtime Chamber member and small business owner was elected on Monday, January 1st, for a third term as Mayor. Simmons, a lifelong Cambridge resident, and former city employee and School Committee member, began serving on the City Council in 2002. In a recent interview with the Boston Globe, Simmons said she hopes to use her mayoral platform to inspire more young women and young people of color to serve in elected office. The business community looks forward to working with Mayor Simmons. |
