Dear Friends,
Six years ago, after speaking with a homeless woman at the First Parish Unitarian Universalist meals program, I launched the first Winter Warmth Drive to raise funds to by blankets for Cambridge’s homeless residents. Over the years this event has grown and last year we raised over $20,000 and purchased over 200 sleeping bags that literally saved lives.
This year I am partnering with First Parish again, with the goal of raising $20,000 by the end of November. It’s getting cold and although a sleeping bag won’t end homelessness, it will keep someone warm tonight.
I am asking for your help. Please make a tax-deductible contribution by clicking here: https://www.firstparishcambridge.org/winter-warmth-drive/?fbclid=IwAR0eFi4YitXbm7iKb3zj6e-Y6SyGvTkz0eO9-mxZZBmr1NyvmTAQyS8A9GQ
and please spread the word to your networks. We don’t have time to lose. If you would prefer to send a check, you can do so by making it out to First Parish UU Church, writing “Winter Warmth Drive” in the memo section and mail it to 3 Church St. Cambridge, MA 02138.
Thank you so much.
Marc McGovern
