Distressed Children & Infants International (DCI),  is a U.S.- based a 501(c)3 non-profit child rights organization founded at Yale University in 2003 and now headquartered in Harvard Square, Cambridge.

DCI’s is committed to protecting child rights, preventing blindness, and ending child labor and poverty worldwide by involving, empowering, and developing the leadership of local American youth. Over the past 15 years, DCI has helped thousands of struggling children and families in Bangladesh, India, Nepal and Nicaragua by providing education, health care and vision care.

In keeping with our motto of “Children Helping Children,” DCI has also provided hundreds of American youth with the opportunity to participate as volunteers in all our activities, connecting them to less fortunate children in other countries and giving them valuable tools that will ultimately help them to grow into responsible global citizens and our future leaders.  DCI urgently needs your generous participation to help the many less fortunate distressed children who are still awaiting our assistance and whose futures depend on our support.

We invite you to open your hearts and join our charitable mission and consider a tax-deductible gift to DCI.  You can help stop child labor and provide education to a child in Bangladesh with a $15 monthly sponsorship, give the gift of vision to a child by providing glasses for $25 or surgery for $50, give a  gifts of any amount to DCI’s mission at: https://distressedchildren.org/catalog/
