It is with great anticipation that the Harvard Square Business Association announces the return of the 13th Annual Some Like it Hot Chili Cookoff. After a three-year hiatus, this free chili tasting party will take place Saturday, February 11th on Brattle Plaza (in front of Bluestone Lane at 27 Brattle Street) from 2pm – 3:30pm and will be hotter and spicier than ever before!

Some of Harvard Square’s most popular restaurants have been busy this week making batches of chili for this fun and festive event, including:

Wusong Road

Taste them all and vote for your favorite! The restaurant with the most votes will be awarded with the highly coveted Harvard Square Chili Pot!

Make sure to stop by and visit representatives from Off the Beaten Path Food Tours and Experiences and Berkshire Bank who will have some sweet treats to cap off your culinary experience!

Bringing the musical heat will be Harvard Square favorites, Grooversity. They never fail to pump up the crowd with infectious and heart-stopping percussion combining Brazilian grooves like Samba and Axe with Funk, Rock, Jazz and Hip Hop.

Susan Cattaneo
Susan Cattaneo is one of Boston’s most respected singer-songwriters. Respectful of tradition, but not bound by it, Susan blends rock, folk and blues with a healthy dose of country. Call it New England Americana with a twang.

Dan Nicklin
Producer and founder of Henley Row Studios and front man of Boston favorites, OldJack, Dan Nicklin, is long-time friend of Harvard Square. He has been seen on the main stage of Harvard Square’s MayFair and Oktoberfest and at his curated Brattle Plaza stage at MakeMusic Harvard Square.

Jonathan Ulman
Jonathan Ulman is an internationally recognized Session Drummer and Percussionist from Boston, MA. He has been crowned “Session Musician of the Year” an unprecedented four years running by the Boston Music Awards as well as nominated for “Best New Drummer 2016” by Rhythm Magazine. Jonathan has been recording and touring with artists around the world for more than 18 years and is considered the area’s most in demand drummer.
