Harvard Book Store is also home to an on-demand book machine dubbed “Paige M. Gutenborg,” which prints manuscripts of public domain Google texts, publisher-permission copies, and out-of-print titles (also a budget-friendly choice for self-publishers). The Harvard Book Store Warehouse Sale is a wildly popular semiannual tradition for local bargain hunters and book lovers.
In 2002, Harvard Book Store was awarded the prestigious “Bookseller of the Year” Award from Publishers Weekly and has also been frequently recognized by local polls and publications, including Boston magazine’s “Best Bookstore” (2014), “Best Literary Series” (2017, 2018), “Best Neighborhood Shop” (2019), and “Best Virtual Author Series” (2020, 2021).
As of July 19th, 2021 the store is open daily 10am – 10pm
