Calling All Musicians!
We are very excited to announce the 12th Annual Make Music Harvard Square / Fete de la Musique will hit the streets of the Square on Saturday, June 22nd from 2pm – 10pm.
Make Music is a free celebration of music around the world happening on the solstice. Launched in 1982 in France as the Fête de la Musique, it is now held on the same day in more than 1,000 cities in 120 countries. Completely different from a typical music festival, Make Music is open to anyone who wants to take part. Every kind of musician — young and old, amateur and professional, of every musical persuasion — pours onto streets, parks and plazas to share their music with friends, neighbors, and strangers. All of it is free and open to the public. Sets are 45 minutes and begin on the hour from 2pm – 10pm. Please note that due to the nature of this event, this the only event where we do not compensate artists for their participation.
All genres are welcome.
Sets begin on the hour and run 45 minutes in length.
Limited electricity is available – however, performing acoustically or with your own battery powered PA is encouraged.
If you would like to participate, please contact Bill at email@example.com
