    Welcome weekend in Harvard Square is a fun-filled weekend celebrating a legendary film star, a long-standing football rivalry, two world renowned museum collections, a welcome kiosk with free goodies, a host of stores with their doors open, and a community that sings together down by the River!

    Friday, September 19th :

    The Bette Davis “Legends of Hollywood Commemorative Stamp” Dedication Ceremony:

    11:30 -12:30 – A tribute to Bette Davis at The Brattle Theatre featuring special guest speakers and film clips. To request free tickets please e-mail

    Community Day at the Harvard Art Museum - FREE ADMISSION ALL DAY! 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

    9:00 AM–5:00 pm - Community Day at Harvard Museum of Natural History - FREE ADMISSION ALL DAY!

                The museum invites neighbors, near and far, to come explore the galleries. There will be hands-on activities with trained gallery guides and nature story time at 11 am and 2 pm. for more information about the events of the day

Bring your family, friends and a picnic supper from one of our Harvard Square restaurants for an unforgettable evening of music and song along the Charles River (at the Weeks Footbridge near Harvard Square).

    4:00 pm Passim’s Culture for Kids Activity Tents and the HSBA Kiosk with free samples of delicious goodies!

    5:00 pm Entertainment begins!
