Checks Presented to the Beneficiaries of the 2011 Taste of Cambridge
On Wednesday, September 21, 2011, members of the Cambridge License Advisory Board and the Harvard Square Business Association convened at Christopher’s Restaurant to present checks to the beneficiaries of the 2011 Taste of Cambridge event. The Salvation Army and Cambridge Program/Special Olympics were each given a check for $10,000.
On June 23, 2011 several thousand people descended on the upper and lower levels of the Charles Hotel to sample culinary delights from over 55 Cambridge restaurants. “In addition to its world class shops and cultural activities, Cambridge has long been regarded as a center of culinary excellence. We are excited to invite everyone to this annual event where all proceeds are donated to two worthy charities,” said Denise Jillson, co-chair of the event and Executive Director of the Harvard Square Business Association.
