Harvard Square's 33rd Annual Oktoberfest and HONK! Parade Will Go Forward on October 2nd

The Harvard Square Business Association (HSBA) invites you to pack your umbrellas, rain boots and raincoats and head over to Harvard Square for the best foot-stomping, hand-clapping Honk! Parade and Oktoberfest ever!
“While the threat of showers hangs over our heads, we feel compelled to go forward, said Denise Jillson Executive Director of the HSBA. There are over 30 Honk! Bands from across the country that scrimped and saved to make this trip. They are ready to toot their horns, walk on stilts, strut their stuff and take back the streets, for horns, bikes and feet! We will not let our funky, soulful, energetic, eclectic friends go home without showing our deep appreciation for their efforts to get here and without expressing our deep joy for their passion to HONK!”
We hope moms and dads with toddlers and strollers, teens with skateboards, and seniors in sneakers will come to Cambridge by bus, the T, on bikes, and roller blades to enjoy the parade and honk with us at Harvard Square’s 33rd Annual Oktoberfest!
Come show your support and love for the Honkers and all our street vendors, artisans, crafters, restaurateurs and beer gardeners who are determined to make this the best Oktoberfest and Honk Parade ever!
Oktoberfest in Harvard Square takes place from noon until 6:00 p.m. The Honk! Parade departs Davis Square at noon and arrives in Harvard Square at 1:00 p.m. It wends its way from Elm Street, to Beech Street in Somerville to Mass. Avenue, Cambridge.
