Harvard University Construction Mitigation - Upcoming Roadway Impacts

Holyoke Street
Crews have completed demolition activities of the Holyoke Street Pavilion. Over the next few
weeks, crews will be preparing the area for steel erection of the new 3 story building. During this
preparation period, which is expected to be completed within the next two weeks, crews expect
to close vehicle access to Holyoke Street a few days a week. Once the crane and materials arrive
for steel erection activities (late September 2016/early October 2016), crews will be closing the
roadway (between the hours of 7am-4pm Monday through Friday) for approximately 2 ½ months.

Dunster Street
Great progress is being made with interior demolition of the Dunster Street Pavilion. In early/mid
October 2016, crews anticipate on occupying the parking meters on Dunster Street (between
Mass Ave and Mt. Auburn Street) on a 24 hour basis to serve as a travel lane. This change in
traffic pattern is needed for a crane to assist with the removal of debris on the Dunster Street
Pavilion roof. The contactor anticipates on opening the parking lane back up in January/February
2017.

Please note that this schedule is subject to change and whenever there is an opportunity to
reduce parking impacts or potential road closures, we will be sure to act swiftly. We certainly
appreciate your patience during construction. Please contact the Harvard University Construction
