Earth Day clean-up was a huge success!
This effort was organized the HSBA Hospitality Committee. Chaired by Dan Andrew of Trademark Tours, along with Bill Manley from the HSBA, with assistance from the Cambridge Police Department and the City of Cambridge Department of Public Works. From early morning until mid-afternoon, over twenty HSBA members came together to clean trash barrels, remove graffiti, water flowers, pick up trash, remove cigarette butts from cracks and crevices in the brick sidewalks, remove stickers from lampposts, rake Winthrop Park and prime utility boxes in the Square to ready them for artwork.
In addition to thanking the DPW and the CPD, we send our thanks to the following businesses for sending their staff of volunteers. We appreciate their time and effort. The Square is ready to welcome spring!
