This is an opportunity to celebrate Will and to share his works in a fun, casual, and accessible way. Producers Nike Tirman and Samantha Schwartz are thrilled to have found a supportive and enthusiastic partner in the Harvard Square Business Association. All readers will receive a copy of Folger’s Shakespeare Sonnets, courtesy of participating Harvard Square bookstores. The event will also include live music performed by the Willow Flute Ensemble.

This year represents the quatercentenary of Shakespeare’s death.  An English poet, playwright, and actor, Shakespeare lived from April 26, 1564 (baptized) – April 23, 1616 and is widely regarded as both the greatest writer in the English language and the world’s preeminent dramatist.  Shakespeare celebrations will take place all over the world this April, with the broadest undertaking in England. A sampling of similarly celebratory exhibits and performances can be found at http://www.shakespeare400.org.

We look forward to reading with you on April 23rd!
