Founded in 1856, Schoenhof’s offers the largest selection of foreign-language books in North America. Our selection includes language-learning material for over 700 languages and dialects, as well as fiction, nonfiction, and children’s books in 50 languages.

Located behind Holyoke Center, Schoenhof's is the oldest foreign language bookstore in the United States. We also carry guides to the Boston area in French, German and Spanish. If you want a title we don't carry, our multilingual staff is happy to special-order it for you.
