Alden Rowing Shells, formerly known as Alden Ocean Shells, are the most popular sliding-seat rowing sculling boats in the world. The company was conceived by Arthur Martin who received his technical education at the Webb Institute of Naval Architecture.
The company is located along the coast of Massachusetts, steeped in the history of famous writers, artists, musicians, and fishermen.
National newspapers and magazines such as the New York Times, USA Today, Sports Illustrated, and virtually all of the yachting, boating, and rowing magazines have featured articles written about the Alden Rowing shells.
