The perfect haven for après-work, après-university, pre-theatre or late night - The Lounge at OM - with all its transforming elements - takes Harvard Square Nightlife to new heights. While the upstairs dining room promises a calming, museum-like journey through the Far East, the swanky lower lounge kicks up the vibe with edgy design, sexy food and an eclectic scene of vibrant professionals, students and fashionistas.
Sink into sumptuous leather sofas through a veil of steel mesh draperies.
Gaze thoughtlessly at the mesmerizing video art or ponder more deeply the meaning of the Buddhist art. Commune with friends and colleagues over Momos & Martinis or hideaway in the Mandala Room sipping aromatherapy cocktails.
Executive Chef Michael Madden joins Om after working in some of the region's most celebrated restaurants. A graduate of Johnson & Wales, Madden first shined in Providence, RI as sous chef at XO Café and later at Lot 401, where he worked side-by-side with Chef Rachel Klein. Together they brought the restaurant to national acclaim winning a "Best New Restaurant" award in 2004 from Esquire. After a short stint in Florida, Madden reunited with Klein and worked side-by-side with her at Om and then at Aura in Boston.
As Executive Chef, he showcases his expert hand at a modern American cooking drawing inspiration from Southeast Asian street food. Madden's invigorating menus combine passion and a refreshing international perspective with new summer dishes such as Tograshi Tuna with udon noodles, Chinese broccoli, tempura long beans and lime chile broth and Five Spice Duck Steak with mustard greens, sweet potato and ginger sauce.
