Under the glow of a Cambridge landmark and in the heart of Harvard Square, Nubar restaurant and lounge is open at the Sheraton Commander Hotel.  The space has been transformed into a chic neighborhood hangout, servicing locals and out of town guests alike, while emphasizing a comfortable bar and dining experience. The Guleserian family has owned and operated the hotel and restaurant for three generations, and have lived and worked in Cambridge for over 60 years. Named after the hotel’s owner Edward Nubar Guleserian, Nubar will continue the tradition of casual elegance, hospitality and charm.

 

Nubar serves elegant comfort food with a modern approach applied to classic dishes. Executive Chef Tom Connaughton and Chef de Cuisine Bill Flumerfelt aim to work with local and sustainable vendors, fishermen, farms and neighborhood bakeries that enrich the Boston and Cambridge culinary community. . Nubar is open for breakfast, lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch seven days a week. 

 

The bar program at Nubar includes beer, wine and cocktails. Cocktails will be inspired by old and new, from classic prohibition-era drinks to modern creations. House-made infusions, fresh squeezed juices and purees will complement drinks that are seasonal and stimulating. The wine list is value driven but eclectic, and includes exceptional domestic wines, as well as a sampling of international varietals and flavors. A rotating selection of local and regional craft beer is flanked by local standards.
