Fogg Art Museum, Harvard University Art Museums
32 Quincy Street, Cambridge, MA
Harvard University Art Museums is hosting Antonio Martorell in our galleries until June 29. Mr. Martorell is a well-known artist originally from Puerto Rico, now based in New York City. His primary media are paintings, installations and performances. This semester he is a guest of the David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies, Harvard University.
Mr. Martorell will be working with dry media on paper in several galleries in the Fogg Art Museum. His project will involve using imagery from various master paintings and sculptures to create new work. He welcomes interaction with Museum visitors, and sees that as part of his work as an artist.
If you would like to come watch Mr. Martorell at work, his schedule is below. Please note that this is subject to change, so it is recommended that you call to verify that he will be working on the day you plan to come in.
