Widely acknowledged as Boston’s best jazz club with critical acclaim from the New York Times, Rolling Stone, Boston Globe and Boston Herald; The Charles Hotel’s Regattabar brings to the hotel the most dynamic live jazz, both national and international, Tuesday through Saturday nights.

The annual Regattabar Jazz Festival at The Charles Hotel, which runs from January – May, is one of the best in the country and one of Boston’s premier events, featuring top-flight performers. Branford Marsalis, Joshua Redman, McCoy Tyner, Ruth Brown, Michael Brecker, Elvin Jones and other luminaries are all Regattabar regulars.

The Regattabar opened on January 29, 1985, and since its inception it has become the leading jazz club not only in Boston, but also in New England. In 1998, after being named the “Best Jazz Club” nine times, it was placed in Boston Magazine’s “Best of Boston” Hall of Fame. It’s also been named the “Best Jazz Club” by the Improper Bostonian, 2003.
