Harvard Square Eateries Come Together to Support Food Day

The Harvard Square Business Association  is pleased to announce our participation in the 2nd Annual Food Day; a celebration of and moving toward more healthy, affordable and sustainable food.  

In partnership with Yelp, the HSBA has created two fabulous culinary events; a 20-Mile Food Challenge and a free tasting event for the public!   
The 20 – Mile Food Challenge on October 24th will showcase restaurants that are featuring special dishes using ingredients sourced within a 20 mile radius of Harvard Square, and in some cases, slightly beyond.  Participating restaurants include the following, with more to be added soon!  Please check for updates.

“The Most Important Ingredient…In Honor of Food Day” hosted by Judy Phillips, MSRD, LDN and Chef Mary Dumont.  October 24th at 6pm.  Judy and Mary will share with us their thoughts about the most important ingredients of the day, and more.

A Free Tasting Event - a unique and fun element  of Food Day in Harvard Square  Beginning at 5:30, please join us on Brattle Plaza (in front of Crema CafĂ© – 27 Brattle Street) for  a Free Tasting Event.  Enjoy sustainable and creative tidbits from b.good, Cardullo’s Gourmet Shoppe Grafton Street, Grendel’s Den, the red house, Rialto, Russell House Tavern, Sandrine’s Bistro and UpStairs on the Square.  
This event will take place rain or shine.  You will find us under the glow of white lanterns on the plaza. Come savor delicious and yummy bites, while listening to music provided by local singer / songwriter, Patrick Mulroy, fresh off his stellar set at this year’s Harvard Square Oktoberfest!
