Desiderare at Oberon
Sunday, May 13th, 2012 at 8:00pm
A piece about 19th century brothel workers Desiderare, examines the lives of seven young women and their existence together. It is an an exploration of the inner landscapes of turn of the century sex workers. Desiderare invokes images of females who are tough, resilient, independent, competitive, and sexually transparent. The men take their place as voyeurs and the audience is in danger of the same. Welcome to the house of a left handed god.
