First-time camper? Trekked around the world? All are welcome at our upcoming event with Helen Olsson, author of The Down and Dirty Guide to Camping With Kids: How to Plan Memorable Family Adventures & Connect Kids to Nature.

Directions: Take the Red Line to the Harvard stop. Exit into Harvard Square, at the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue, Brattle Street, and JFK Street. Stop by the World's Only Curious George Store at One JFK Street, then continue walking up JFK Street (Russell House Tavern will be on your left). Cross Mt. Auburn Street and you will be in Winthrop Square, right at Winthrop Park (Peet's Coffee & Tea is in the background on the right).
Helen will read from her new book, The Down and Dirty Guide to Camping With Kids, will answer any and all questions about camping with kids, and then will lead us through some fun games and activities to play with kids while camping. There's a little something for everyone of any age, and don't forget to pick up your copy of her book and have her sign it - copies will be available at the Curious George Store before and after the event, as well as being available at the park during the event itself.
