The exhibition features fine art and filmmaking by Michael Van Devere, including oil portraits, pencil drawings, still photography, publicity posters, and memorabilia from four films produced by Mr. Van Devere’s production company, Fabular Films. Exploring the human face as a canvas to embody the beautiful, the eternal, and the fabulous, his work investigates themes of absence and loss, yearning and enchantment. His faces are nostalgic and literary, mythic and unknown and in some cases renowned. Assembled together for the first time, Fabular Films and Faces conceives its own fable, a story of art, beauty, and history through the eyes of one artist.
