In Heather Meri Stewart’s work imaginative exploration is the means by which we mediate between the rational and sensual elements of painting. In this new series of paintings, inspired by recent travels, Stewart investigates the landscape and built environment of the northeastern and southwestern United States. Her work allows the viewer to travel with her as she explores these landscapes through the medium of painting.
